Vintage Japanese Kutani Sake Bottle - Hand Painted Raised Enamel Gourd -Wise Man. Excellent condition. The other two sides depict a floral motif with a butterfly create that a visual invocation for a long, prosperous, and happy life. Hand-Painted enamel, the five colors (Gosai) are hand-applied and have a raised textured feel. Excellent condition. Yoshidaya style Kutani double-gourd (tokkuri) sake bottle depicts a wise man (hermit) seated under a tree on two sides. The other two sides depict a floral motif with a butterfly create that a visual invocation for a long, prosperous, and happy life. Clear porcelain areas (wise mans face, white portion on top section) are bright and smooth, with no crazing, chips or cracks. Unsigned, consistent with kiln-produced workshop pieces of the mid-20th century. Dimensions: 7 3/8" high, 4" wide. Free Shipping.
