RARE PAPERBACK SEARCH FOR THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE JOHN MARKS 1980 1ST PRESSING. This is the First McGraw-Hill Paperback Edition from 1980. 230 pages. This is one of the groundbreaking books exposing the intelligence agencies long history of mind control on human subjects. Starting out in the early 50's and continuing for 25 years (or longer), the CIA and their hand picked psychologists and psychiatrists made use of hallucinogenic drugs, hypnosis. psychosurgery, sensory deprivation, and electroshock. Author John Marks collated information garnered from 16,000 pages of CIA documents, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act. This is the First McGraw-Hill Paperback Edition from 1980. 230 pages. GRADE: GOOD. The FRONT cover has a crease running 5" starting from the bottom right to midway 1" from middle right side. A small tear along with a bent corner, bottom ride side, about 2 ans a half inches long. Bent corner, top right, a little over an inch, with small chipped corner. BACK cover has crease running 5" from 1" from middle left side extending to bottom ride side; another crease right under that, about 3" in legnth. There is a tear that has been taped, bottom right extending up 1 and a half inch. SPINE has 3 surface tears; one half inch seam separation and tape over words McGraw-Hill. First 2 pages have tiny tears, bottom right side. All other pages have no defects or marks. See photos for confirmation.
