It measures 9 1/4" by 6" and is 798 pages. There is some age-toning to the spine; the book is in otherwise Like New condition--just about as good as a new book in a bookstore. There are twelve, full-page, color illustrations by Henry C. Pitz; they are in Fine condition and blank on the reverse. In addition, Pitz has done a different vignette illustration to introduce each of the 62 chapters (e.g., please see image #3 below). The slipcase is in Very Good condition with some gentle fading and wear and with a 1/8" x 2" strip of paper affixed to the rear panel.
