Overall though, besides the toning to the dj, the front cover is super clean - no major wear except a tiny crease on the top center of the dj near the page edge. This is a first edition hardcover w/ dust jacket of The Garden of Eden by Ernest Hemingway Published by Charles Scribner’s Sons in 1986. I think overall it is in really good condition, the only real flaw being the discoloration to the dust jacket and the ‘NOT FOR RESALE’ stamp on the top page edge. A similar stamp can be found on the very first page. Overall though, besides the toning to the dj, the front cover is super clean - no major wear except a tiny crease on the top center of the dj near the page edge. The back cover you’ll see much of the same. No major marks or tears, but it’s definitely tanned and discolored. IT DOES NOT SMELL. SMOKE WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE YELLOWING. There is some edge/shelf wear and you’ll see it most at the top and bottom edge of the spine. the spine looks to be in good shape though and I see no visible stains or tears within and the spine is sturdy and the pages intact. The book itself is clean and in great shape.
