Signed 2018 Josh Simpson 3” Corona Inhabited Planet Glass Paperweight CRACKED!!. However, it now has visible internal cracking that almost look more like mirrors within the planet. This is what has happened to this piece. The base is polished, signed, and serialized, as shown in the pictures. This is a unique, handblown glass art paperweight made and signed by American (and world renowned) glass artist, Josh Simpson. The base is polished, signed, and serialized, as shown in the pictures. I purchased this piece directly from Simpson’s website, and it had been in pristine condition. However, it now has visible internal cracking that almost look more like mirrors within the planet. I contacted them about this, and it seems that the corona blends sometimes result in this sort of cracking and while most of this occurs during the cooling process, some make it out the door, only to crack like this years later. This is what has happened to this piece. There is no real external damage, and they said that the cracking is not likely to go any further. At any rate, the buyer must be aware that this piece will arrive in the condition that has been described here, as is. No returns. I’m posting pieces from a collection I’ve pulled together over the last decade or more. That said, I am trying to reach fellow collectors who want to add to their own collections, decorating their homes and/or office space. I am not in a position where I have to sell, so I will not be giving these pieces away. List prices are fair market, though I’d be more than happy to discuss multiple item purchases, etc. No returns.
