Further Details Title: n-Type Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaics Condition: New Subtitle: Technology, applications and economics Contributor: Delfina Muñoz (Edited by), Radovan Kopecek (Edited by) Format: Hardback EAN: 9781839531767 ISBN: 9781839531767 Publisher: Institution of Engineering and Technology Genre: Technology & Engineering Release Date: 05/01/2023 Description: Most solar cells currently in commercial use are p-type solar cells, due to their historically lower cost and ease of manufacture compared to n-type solar cells. However, due to improved manufacturing technology and falling cost in general, the cost difference between the two types has shrunk, making n-type solar cells an attractive option for future commercial high-efficiency solar cells. n-type solar cells are less prone to light-induced degradation, and are also less affected by iron impurities. This makes n-type solar cells more efficient compared to their p-type counterparts, with efficiencies of up to 25% being feasible in production. Challenges in the manufacturing process and regarding degradation still remain to be solved, in order to realise n-type solar cells' full potential. The challenges, solutions and opportunities afforded by n-type solar cells are explored in this volume. This book conveys current research and development for n-type solar cells and modules. With a systematic build-up, chapters cover the base material, wafer production, and the cell concepts including recent passivation techniques. Also covered are the related issues of solar module technology, such as encapsulation and interconnection, and degradation process management, including comparisons with p-type solar cells. In addition, economic and ecologic aspects and cost modelling are addressed. This thorough, concise reference is a valuable resource for researchers from industry and academia working in the field of photovoltaics. 1. I've ordered from Rarewaves here in the US and the UK multiple times, and continue to do so. They always seem to have something I can't find anywhere else at all or for a reasonable price. When I purchase used items, they are as described, if not a grade better. Aways a quick turnaround after ordering, every item arrives promptly, professionally packaged. Many orders have free shipping, even for solitary item orders. I never needed a reason to communicate, as I've had no cause. Recommended.

  2. Received item as described and packaged well. Listing indicated shipping was free. Ordered on the 7th but by the 14th noticed it hadn’t been shipped yet. Seller responded quickly saying that during the purchase process that it said it would not be shipped until the 22nd because they use a fulfillment house. I don’t recall seeing anything about delayed shipping during the process or in the listing. While I appreciate the prompt response to my inquiry, other buyers should be aware of delays.

  3. The book was brand still plastic wrapped. Looks exactly like the picture for a reasonable price including shipping. In perfect condition. Shipping was slow and I was worried that I was scammed again. Seller did respond to my message after a day and explained the item would be shipped within a week. The item shipping and tracking was updated by the date they stated. Took about 2 weeks to receive item. I’m usually impressed when item is shipped and received within a week.
