Antique 1605 Latin Sermon Book Promptuarium Concionum Yanguas Coloniae Antique early 1600s Latin religious book, printed in 1605. The title page reads Promptuarium concionum de praecipuis Christi et sanctorum festis, per totum annum , a collection of sermons for the principal feasts of Christ and the saints through the year, by Fr. Didacus (Diego) de Yanguas. The imprint on the title page is Coloniae Agrippinae, sumptibus Arnoldi Mylii Birckmanni , with the date shown in Roman numerals for 1605. This copy is over 400 years old and comes from the General Theological Seminary Library in New York. There is a seminary library label and a “Rare Book Room” label inside the front cover, and a General Theological Seminary blind stamp on the title page, all visible in the photos. The binding is an early plain soft-cover binding with thick covers and exposed sewing along the spine. The covers are worn with discoloration, staining, edge and corner wear, and small losses. The spine covering is mostly gone. The pages are toned with age and show some foxing, creases and small edge tears. I cannot guarantee completeness, so please review all photos carefully to judge condition and contents for yourself.
