Vtg Harold Gale Santa Claus Red Velvet Suit White Face Mohair eyebrow mustache C. Red Velvet/Fur Trim Suit. Vintage 1950's Harold Gale Santa Claus Doll (C)-- Red Velvet/Fur Trim Suit Enveloped in nostalgia and fine craftsmanship. This vintage Harold Gale Santa is decked out in a quality red-velvet suit with fur trim. His face has a distinct white composition (or perhaps hard plastic?) design, and is trimmed with rare Mohair eyebrows and mustache. Harold Gale and his wife first made Christmas displays for department stores, which became so popular they decided to start a business for retail versions. Widely successful, shoppers craved these awesome Santa Claus dolls, which were handmade by the Gales with high-quality materials, such as their Molded face, fine Santa Suit material, and mohair beards. Their wire inside frame allows for some pose-ability. Today, they are highly collectible.
