Vintage Red Alexanderwerk No. 5 Cast Iron & Porcelain Meat Grinder
$ 23.76
Description
The photos show everything. I am not sure of the age, I believe it is from the early 1900s, possibly before 1920, but I do not know for sure. This is an assumption on my part . I cannot guarantee just how old it actually is. I can tell you, it is beautiful. It has most of the original red paint still on it, as you can see. It is a beautiful cast iron with the wood handle that you see. I believe this was made in Germany, that is what I find when I do some research on Alexanderwerk. I cannot guarantee that this was made in Germany , it does not mention where it was made anywhere on it. I do believe that the inside of this grinder is porcelain enamel, as well as the grinding blade that you can see. It comes exactly as you see it in the photos, with only what you see. The crank turns nicely, I do not know if it turns exactly as intended, it may need an adjustment or lubricating to make it turn more swiftly, I do not know. Also, the beautiful thumb screw/clamp that you see turns somewhat stiffly. Stiffly. I am assuming WD-40 or some type of lubricant will make it turn easier. You can see how beautiful that thumb screw is. This meat grinder weighs approximately 4.5 lb and it comes exactly as you see it. Nothing is broken. The photos are the description and they show the beautiful condition. Please use the zoom feature and ask any questions you may have. This will ship using UPS, FedEx or USPS, whichever I select at time of shipping. IT MAY COME PARTIALLY DISASSEMBLED FOR EASIER SHIPPING.
