Description
Vintage Royal China Ming Tree 9” Diameter Serving Bowl 22 KT Gold Scallop Rim. The Serving Bowl has a 22 Kt gold trim scalloped rim with a swirl wall body and a flat bottom. The serving bowl has a manufacturer mark on the bottom. This is a used serving bowl in very good condition. The Royal China Company in Sebring, Ohio crafted this beautiful Ming Tree Serving Bowl sometime during the existence of the company from 1934-1986. I’m thinking the colorful, Asian inspired pattern was made after 1950 due to post-World War II sentiments. I could not date this pattern using the Ming Tree trademark, unfortunately. Replacements dates the pattern to the 1960s. The Serving Bowl has a 22 Kt gold trim scalloped rim with a swirl wall body and a flat bottom. The bowl is 9-1/4 inches diameter and about 1-1/2 inches deep. The serving bowl has a manufacturer mark on the bottom. I love this colorful pattern. The colorful pheasant is beautiful and the two tone pink peonies with yellow highlights are gorgeous. This is a beautiful addition to any setting, and could be repurposed to hold many things used at a desk or a dressing table or the bathroom. This is a used serving bowl in very good condition. The decal’s colors are bright and bold. The gold trim is in very good to excellent condition. However, on the back of the bowl at about 2 o’clock from the maker’s mark, there is a broken bubble in the glaze defect, and just below that, there is either a very small chip in the rim or missing glaze. I have a 11-1/4 inch handled cake plate, four 9-1/2 inch plates, several fruit bowls and bread and butter plates, cups and saucers listed also. Thanks for your interest,
