Marvin the Martian, is a character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons. Marvin the Martian first appeared in 1948 in the cartoon "Haredevil Hare". He is known as a villain who wants to destroy Earth because it obstructs his view of Venus. Marvin is often seen wearing a Roman soldier's helmet and skirt. His goal is often thwarted by Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck. The character was created by animator Chuck Jones. Mel Blanc originally voiced Marvin the Martian. Despite being a villain, Marvin has become a popular and iconic character. He has appeared in various cartoons, video games, and merchandise.
