Description
Offering for you an antique Carl Zeiss Stand E microscope made in 1928 (as identified by serial number in A Survey of Zeiss Microscopes 1846-1945 by Lawrence J. Gubas). Could be a student microscope and was owned by my daughter’s great grandmother who was one of the first female doctors in the Chicago area in the 1930’s. Carl Zeiss is one of the most famous makers of optical equipment dating back to the 1800’s. Jena indicates the German city where it was made. This comes in “as is” condition with three objective lenses, clip on slide holder with x-y movement, adjustable condenser and mirror plus original box. I have not tested it out but it appears to be in working condition. Please see pictures.
