Back in the late 90's, Matchbox came out with an Inaugural Collection of Vehicles. What made them unique is they Produced identical vehicles for each specific Collection. Matchbox is proud to present, for a Limited Time, its Newest vehicles for 1997 in the Inaugural Collection. Each Inaugural Model is superbly detailed and is accompanied by a Highly Collectible "First Shot." This pre-production, Highly Collectible Model is among the First Vehicles to roll off Matchbox Assembly Line. One is Completed Die-Cast without the paint nor decals. The other is a completed toy after going to the paint department. This particular one is a New, in its original unopened box, 1997 Matchbox Inaugural Collection 1st Issue set of Ambulances. Exclusive Inaugural Model with an Authentic "First Shot". 1 of 20,000 Limited Edition Vehicles. Stock #34338-5. They were actually manufactured in 1996. Check out the Eagle Goodyear tires. This is a perfect piece for those serious Collectors or what the heck, take them out and play with them. *NOTE: The rubber band that holds them in place within the box must have dry rotted and broke, because as you notice by the pictures, they are lose.
