This is a rare four page advertising herald (flyer) promoting the opening of the Original Broadway production of the JEFFREY DELL play "PAYMENT DEFERRED" at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City on September 24th, 1931. (The production premiered on May 4th, 1931 at London's St. James Theatre where it ran for 80 performances. The Broadway production's opening at the Lyceum Theatre was delayed until September 30th, 1931 due to an unseasonable heatwave and the play ran for 70 performances.) ..... This four page flyer measures 6" X 10" inches and includes production credits on the front, three production photos, promotional text and excerpts from two London reviews on the inside pages and seven additional London quotes and the original scheduled Opening Night date on the backside ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is light soiling to the front and back sides, a small moisture spot at the top and minor creasing at the top and lower right. Despite these flaws, this rare herald will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
