Blueprint for a Methanol Society Please note: this item is printed on demand and will take extra time before it can be dispatched to you (up to 20 working days). Toward Carbon-Neutrality Author(s): Junji Nakamura, Masayoshi Ishida Format: Hardback Publisher: Springer Verlag, Singapore, Singapore Imprint: Springer Verlag, Singapore ISBN-13: 9789819534647, 978-9819534647 Synopsis This book presents a comprehensive vision for building a carbon-neutral society with methanol at its core. Part I clarifies the essential challenges of global warming and exposes the shortcomings of current carbon-neutral strategies through facts and numbers, highlighting the limits of renewables, hydrogen, and other proposed solutions. Part II introduces the concept of a methanol-based circular society, showing how CO? can be recycled into methanol to serve as both an energy carrier and a chemical feedstock. Part III explores practical pathways for implementation, detailing the roles of technology, policy, and business in fostering collaboration between industry, government, and academia, while also empowering the next generation to act. By combining scientific rigor with a clear roadmap, this book provides critical knowledge for policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and citizens seeking actionable solutions to the climate crisis. The English translation of this book, originally in Japanese, was facilitated by artificial intelligence. The content was later revised by the author for accuracy.

  1. Good seller, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ item as described, packaging average, delivery was a huge disappointment as it was thrown at my front door by an AMAZON driver. I purchased via eBay to avoid AMAZON, now they are involved leaving our eBay purchases on our doorsteps. I do have cctv of the driver throwing my package. I brought the poor delivery to the attention of the seller who advised they would contact the delivery organisation concerned about the breach in their delivery instructions.

    Relatively Uncertain
  2. Item was dispatched within promised time frame but unfortunately Royal Mail left the package out in the rain without ringing the bell. As the book was not protected by plastic it was damaged by the rain. However the seller responded immediately and refunded payment once the book was dropped off at post office. Recommended seller, would use again but maybe waterproof packaging if affordable would be better.

  3. I cannot yet comment on the book's contents, although they look comprehensive, in particular the photographs. The book is as advertised - new - and high quality. Itv was competitively priced and well packaged. Dispatch was rather slower than usual for e-bay, even allowing for Christmas, but once posted, the courier service was quick and efficient. Communications were good throughout.
