Although the term "Eighteen Martial Arts" is often used, by the late modern period, the number of these disciplines had diversified into more than sixty. Therefore, this collection focuses on the fundamental martial arts and includes many of the original schools, prioritizing those with relatively well-preserved conditions. For example, in the case of swordsmanship, there are hundreds of schools, and while many may meet the aforementioned criteria, we decided to select eight schools for inclusion. Most of the scrolls and documents included in this collection are previously unpublished. Even those that have been published in print were re-examined, their original sources clarified, and portions or entire documents were included through photography to allow readers to share the vivid impressions conveyed by the originals. At the same time, we refrained from interpreting or analyzing the content, leaving such matters entirely to the discretion of our readers. Unlike other Japanese sellers,I have this item in stock. The book came in great condition and arrived quickly, I didn’t need to be in contact with the seller so I suppose that’s a good thing, the book came packaged very well and cushioned, the book was listed as lightly used but by my estimates, it’s brand new I was able to feel how crisp and clean the paper was as I turned each page. Overall highly recommended and look forward to doing business with him again.
This product came in a very timely fashion. The vender is very easy to work with and I am sure we will cross paths again! The packaging kept the book well protected inits long trek halfway around the world. It amazes me how I can sometime get a package frm half way around the world when it sometime takes weeks from across the State!
The fastest shipment I've ever gotten from Japan. :) Yoshihiro-San packaged the book expertly in a layer of padding and weather-proof packaging. Expectations are silly, this makes living a delightful surprise. It was exactly as pictured in the listing. Was it worth it? Invaluable to me. Thank you very much! Yoshihiro-San!
