Lord of the Rings box set by J.R.R. Tolkien (2nd Edition 3rd/4th Printing) 2/3 books are 3rd printing. Fellowship is a 4th Printing. Seems when the box set is assembled they grab whatever print is available and add dustcover from the set. Books themselves are in Near fine condition. Dust covers have their flaws as seen in pictures, but sill make for a presentable box set. I would recommend sleeving the covers to preserve them further. Box is in near fine shape with only minor signs of age. Gently dusted but a cleaning may bring it to a new level. Original owner date marked when they purchased and finished reading (1969-1972) - very reasonable low impact markings.Some discoloration on dyed page ends but nothing too bad. One map has one tiny dog eared corner but will fold it back for shipment Overall a great piece or gift for the collector. Purchased at estate sale. This is sold as is.
