She had all the stuff in her life that was supposed to make her happy (the marriage, the kids, the friends, the right neighborhood, the good job, the big house, the boat, the nice clothes, the fancy cars, the bank accounts, the expensive trips, going to bible studies and church on Sunday mornings). She certainly had momentary happiness, but she didn't feel any real inner peace and she knew she wasn't fulfilled or satisfied, and she had absolutely no idea why, since she had everything everyone says makes you happy. What on earth was she missing She was about to find out.In this deeply personal spiritual memoir the author shares how she went through her own Dark Night of the Soul when she was unexpectedly woken up early in the morning hearing the audible message, "Lynn...you will be thankful for this... Unfortunately, I had absolutely no awareness then of three very important facts about my life: 1.For the next several years, our lives would be completely turned upside-down and inside-out. 2.I was definitely NOT on my Soul's true path. I was so far off my path, I needed to be jolted awake by an audible voice to wake me up to that fact. 3.My "Dark Night of the Soul," to get me on my Soul's true path, was only just beginning." From, "Awakening to the Wisdom of Your Soul"Our Dark Night of the Soul is an amazing motivator in our lives, it's the fuel that causes us to do certain things and not do other things. It can really help to shape who we are, or it can block us and prevent us from being who we are meant to be. This book is about Lynn's inspiring journey to finding the meaning behind that cryptic message, which eventually led her to learn the secrets hidden in her Dark Night of the Soul and to living a spiritually Awakened life.
