Publisher Description Die vorliegende Arbeit wurde ito Sommer 1989 abgeschlossen. Wahrend ihrer Entstehungsphase war die schwere wirtschaftliche Krise der DDR deutlich zu erkennen. Ihre offensichtlichen Ursachen, die ito politischen System begriindet lagen, schienen jedoch zu damaliger Zeit fest und un- antastbar. Die wissenschaftliche Kooperation zwischen den beiden deut- schen Staaten existierte nur in wenigen Ansatzen, Moglichkeiten der Literaturbeschaffung waren kaum vorhanden. Trotz alledem entstanden die nachfolgenden Ausfiihrungen mit dem Ao- spruch auf Objektivitat und oboe die "schwarz-weiB-Darstellung", wie sie bei vergleichbaren Ansatzen aufbeiden Seiten ublich war. Erkenntnisse, die auf solchen Priimissen beruhen, haben heute fUr den ProzeB der politischen und wirtschaftlichen Umgestaltung der DDR stark an Bedeutung gew- nen. Der Objektivitatsanspruch konnte allerdings nur dank der umfangreichen DDR-Literatursammlung des Instituts fUr Arbeitswissenschaft und Didaktik des Maschinenbaus (IADM) in der Universitat Hannover aufrechterhalten werden, in dem die DDR-Forschung seit langem und in einem relativ brei- ten Spektrum betrieben wird. In diesem Zusammenhang sei auf die Schrif- tenreihe des IADM-Verlages verwiesen, insbesondere auf die IADM-Mit- teilungen 8 und 13. VI Es ist mir ein besonderes Bediirfnis, mich bei all den Menschen zu he- danken, die mit ihrer Hilfe mein Promotionsvorhaben in der Bundesre- publik Deutschland uberhaupt erst ermoglicht haben. They apologized for sending me the wrong book and said I could return it for a refund. I told them that I liked the book they sent me and wanted to keep it. They were happy. Told them thank you and happy new year. People make mistakes, but the fact that this seller was quick and professional and apologized made a difference.

  2. The two new out-of-print books I ordered were exactly as described and shipped promptly. I did ask the seller's support person (an AI chatbot, I think) to be sure to package the items carefully, and "he" said that he'd make that request of the shipping department. I knew this was hooey, and as I expected, the books were shipped in nothing but a padded paper mailer, no other protection. I got lucky, no damage, but don't bother making special requests of this seller.

  3. Book exactly as described. Seller took a while to ship; had to message to ask about my order after a week (business days), which then prompted them to ship the book. They added a tracking number to ebay that didn't update with postal carrier scans, and messaged an outside-ebay link that I was supposed to track the order through, which wasn't great. But the packaging was fine and I received what I ordered, so it worked out.
