Description

Stem Cell Migration by Marie-Dominique Filippi, Hartmut Geiger Estimated delivery 3-12 business days Format Hardcover Condition Brand New Description In this succinct and practical guide, expert contributors cover standard and novel techniques that facilitate the study of stem cell migration. The book emphasizes in vivo technologies and includes protocols on germ, neuronal, and hematopoietic stem cells. Publisher Description The migration of stem cells has been found to be critical during early development for the organization of the embryonic body as well as during adult life with tissue homeostasis and regeneration of organ function. Due to the low frequency of these cells in vivo, problems in identifying and prospectively purifying tissue specific stem cells near homogeneity, and, most importantly, a lack of adequate technologies and protocols to study stem cell migration in vivo, this vital research has been quite difficult until recently. In Stem Cell Migration: Methods and Protocols, experts in the field compile and highlight the standard and novel techniques that allow the studying of the migration of stem cells in one succinct manual. Including protocols on germ, neuronal, and hematopoietic stem cells, during development and adulthood with a clear emphasis on in vivo technologies, the volume also extends its coverage to in vitro approaches toward several developmentally-conserved signaling pathways. Written in the highly successful Methods in Molecular Biology™ series format, chapters include introductions to their respective topics, lists of the necessary materials and reagents, step-by-step, readily reproducible laboratory protocols, and tips on troubleshooting and avoiding known pitfalls. Practical and convenient, Stem Cell Migration: Methods and Protocols provides key, state-of the art information on experimental techniques for studying stem cell migration both at a cellular and molecular level in development, regeneration, and disease. 1. Seller sent me the wrong book, but the book they sent sounded interesting enough for me to keep it. I still contacted the seller and communication was fast and professional. They apologized for sending me the wrong book and said I could return it for a refund. I told them that I liked the book they sent me and wanted to keep it. They were happy. Told them thank you and happy new year. People make mistakes, but the fact that this seller was quick and professional and apologized made a difference.

  2. The two new out-of-print books I ordered were exactly as described and shipped promptly. I did ask the seller's support person (an AI chatbot, I think) to be sure to package the items carefully, and "he" said that he'd make that request of the shipping department. I knew this was hooey, and as I expected, the books were shipped in nothing but a padded paper mailer, no other protection. I got lucky, no damage, but don't bother making special requests of this seller.

  3. Book exactly as described. Seller took a while to ship; had to message to ask about my order after a week (business days), which then prompted them to ship the book. They added a tracking number to ebay that didn't update with postal carrier scans, and messaged an outside-ebay link that I was supposed to track the order through, which wasn't great. But the packaging was fine and I received what I ordered, so it worked out.
