Publisher Description Der Bonner Kongress der Deutschen Vereinigung für Politische Wissenschaft vom 4. bis 7. Oktober 1977 hatte ein doppeltes Ziel: er sollte zum einen dazu beitragen, das Ver­ hältnis der Disziplin zur politischen Praxis in einem umfassenden Sinne klären zu hel­ fen, er sollte zum anderen in der Bundeshauptstadt den direkten Kontakt zu dieser politischen Praxis suchen und herstellen. Ob beides angesichts bestehender, durchaus auch bekannter Schwierigkeiten gelungen ist, mag hier dahingestellt sein. Für die Zu­ sammenstellung dieses nunmehr fünften Sonderheftes der PVS aus Anlaß eines wissen­ schaftlichen Kongresses aber blieben diese Absichten zugleich Kriterium der Auswahl für die aufzunehmenden Beiträge. Diese Auswahl der Beiträge gestaltete sich noch schwieriger als schon bei den vor­ ausgegangenen Sonderheften. Die außerordentlich starke Beteiligung am Kongreß zog eine nahezu nicht mehr bewältigbare Flut von Referaten und Arbeitspapieren - durch­ aus unterschiedlicher Qualität - nach sich. Eine Gesamtdokumentation des Kongresses schied so schon aus Gründen des Umfangs von vornherein aus. Das von Verstand und Beirat der DVPW eingesetzte Redaktionskollegium (dem die Herren Böhret, Haungs, Junne und der Herausgeber angehörten) entschied sich deshalb, aus allen Arbeitsgrup­ pen maximal zwei Beiträge auszuwählen, die den primären Absichten des Kongresses am ehesten entsprachen. Dabei wurden die Vorschläge der Arbeitsgruppen, wo immer dies irgend möglich war, berücksichtigt. Lediglich die Arbeitsgruppe ,Entwicklungs­ politik', deren Kongreßdiskussionen nicht auf fertige Referate zurückgegriffen hatten, verzichtete auf Repräsentation im vorliegenden Bande. They apologized for sending me the wrong book and said I could return it for a refund. I told them that I liked the book they sent me and wanted to keep it. They were happy. Told them thank you and happy new year. People make mistakes, but the fact that this seller was quick and professional and apologized made a difference.

  2. The basket is perfectly what I ordered and as listed. It came in the factory packaging and was perfect upon delivery. Thank you postal service lol. The delivery took way longer than listed though, it was listed to come in a week from purchase, but took a whole month. I had some concerns at first, but communication with the company was top notch and they were very professional and answered most of my questions satisfyingly. Just prepare for a longer wait than listed, but I got what I bought lol.

  3. The two new out-of-print books I ordered were exactly as described and shipped promptly. I did ask the seller's support person (an AI chatbot, I think) to be sure to package the items carefully, and "he" said that he'd make that request of the shipping department. I knew this was hooey, and as I expected, the books were shipped in nothing but a padded paper mailer, no other protection. I got lucky, no damage, but don't bother making special requests of this seller.
