Description
Large format 1940 DEKO “World Papers” Decorators Wall Paper Co. sample book. Clearly dated 1940 within the catalog. A substantial decorator showroom volume measuring approximately 15 x 18 inches. This book features Art Deco and early 1940s transitional wallpaper designs, including florals, geometric patterns, borders, ceiling papers, and coordinating blends. Interior sample pages are largely intact, vibrant, and display beautifully. Most interior pages appear complete and well preserved. The exterior cover shows heavy wear from age and showroom use, including edge loss, cracking, and spine separation. Interior pages remain bright and visually strong overall. Published by Decorators Wall Paper Co., with distribution cities listed including St. Louis, Cincinnati, Toledo, Indianapolis, Louisville, Columbus, Dayton, Omaha, Des Moines, and Kansas City. An excellent large-format example of early 1940s American interior design — ideal for collectors, designers, film set decoration, or framing individual pages. Communication was very friendly while arranging for in-person pick-up. Seller was very considerate of my needs, trying to get the item in time for Christmas. Love the item! It was exactly as described, if not better. Would definitely buy from again!
About a week went by between a tracking number being assigned, and the package making it to USPS to start its journey, but I wasn't in a hurry and it was well protected in a padded envelope and arrived in good condition. Thank you!
