Die Art wurde auch in den Udzungwa-Bergen, im südlichen Hochland, in Geita, Bukoba und Kondoa nachgewiesen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Prunus Africana in einigen afromontanen Wäldern Tansanias vorkommt, aber in einigen anderen Wäldern nicht gefunden werden konnte. In Tansania kommt Prunus Africana in den Wäldern der Eastern Mountains und entlang des Grabenbruchs vor.
